Prof. Jesús A. Fernández Suárez In 1981 he graduated in Law in the University of Oviedo, where he has taught ever since and where he doctorated in 1989. He is currently lecturer of Law Philosophy in the Department of Basic Law Sciences of the University of Oviedo. He has been a visiting scholar in several countries (Austria, Mexico). He has published several books in Law Philosophy and Law Theory and Methodology, as well as articles in Law and Humanism, Justification of Legal Decisions, Justice Theory, Human Rights and the Problem of Euthanasia (Dignified Death). He has been a researcher in several projects subsidised by the University of Oviedo (Expert Systems and Fuzzy Logics: Partiality in the University of Oviedo, Nazi Legal Philosophy in Spain, etc.) He has been a member of the Spanish Society of Legal and Social Philosophy since 1982 and he is currently Vice-Director of the Department of Basic Law Sciences.
