"The artificial twinning consists of the division of an embryo in two. This method has been suggested could help to pairs in which the woman produces few ova and few embryos obtain themselves, of her; nevertheless its application would not be recommendable because the technique is aggressive and could destroy the embryos, the effectiveness would be low since probably it would be applied to not young women with previous failures of FIV, and finally, the result is not recommendable and the production of identical individuals this prohibited by the Penal Code and the European Protocol of the Convention that was signed here in Asturias ".
