Vice-rector of the Autonomous University of Barcelona from 1990 to 1993. Independent Socialist Senator from 6 June 1993 to January 1996. President of the Senate Commission to Study Television Contents (1993-1995). Member of the Trilateral Commission since 1994. Member of the Ethics Committee of the Hospital del Mar (Barcelona, from 1993 to 1996).
